Tim Cook Goalie Bursary

The Otatwa Girls Hockey Association (OGHA) is proud to honour the memory and legacy of Tim Cook, a dedicated member of our hockey community whose passion for developing young goaltenders touched countless players over the years.

Known by many as the "goalie whisperer," Tim was a familiar face at arenas throughout the region. Whether he was mentoring a young goaltender, sharing his knowledge of the game, or supporting his daughters Chloe, Emma, and Paige in their hockey journeys, Tim's commitment to girls' hockey and the development of young athletes was unwavering.

To recognize Tim's lasting impact on the sport and his dedication to supporting female goaltenders, the OGHA established the Tim Cook Goalie Bursary.

Beginning with the 2026-27 season, and continuing annually, the bursary will provide full OGHA registration fees for two U11 goaltenders joining the association. The bursary is intended to help remove financial barriers while encouraging young athletes to experience and develop in one of the most important positions in the game.

Through this bursary, Tim's passion for mentoring goalies and fostering a positive hockey environment will continue to inspire future generations of players.

We are honoured to celebrate his legacy through this ongoing commitment to supporting young female goaltenders.
