RichCraft Protocols

With the gov’t announcement last week, the Sensplex will be reopening on Monday Jan 31st under the same guidelines/restrictions before the shutdown.  That means that the capacity of Recreational facilities will be 50%.  That doesn’t affect the number of people on the ice, unless you are planning to have more than 40 people, but it does affect the number of people permitted in each dressing room and the number of spectators.  Like previously, there will be chairs set up outside the rooms for any overflow above posted max capacity.  Here is a summary of the changes in the updated Conditions of Use and the entire updated document can be found via the URL below.

  • CONDITIONS OF USE --- Please CLICK HERE.

    CHANGES TO CONDITIONS OF USE

    1)     Each group is permitted to use the change rooms; however, they should take into consideration the make-up of their group (e.g. age, gender) before deciding if group wishes to have participants arrive to the facility in full equipment or not.

    1. With a max number of 10 people permitted in each dressing room due to physical distancing, some participants will be required to get changed outside the room on chairs.  Therefore, plan accordingly to guarantee that participants are NOT inappropriately undressed in the hallway.
    2. Showering is permitted.

    2)     CAPACITY (playing area) - No more than 70 people associated with each rental, but there are only 40 designated spots that are permitted to go on the ice.

    1. PRACTICE/SHINNY/SKILL DEVELOPMENT/FIGURE SKATING - The 40 people associated with the rental are permitted on the ice, includes players, skaters, coaches, etc.
    2. GAMES - The 40 spots are dedicated to the players/goalies.  The remaining 30, would include coaches, managers, trainers, refs, timekeeper, etc.

    3)     CAPACITY (spectators) - 80 capacity

    1. Spectators are not permitted to enter the facility until 5 min before their ice time and must go directly to the spectator area.
    2. Unless a participant under the age of 18 requires help to get changed.
    3. Spectators are required to exit the facility no later than 10 min after their ice time.
    4. Unless a participant under the age of 18 requires help to get changed.

The Sensplex will assume your group will be ready to resume your rentals on this reopening date.  If you have any questions, please let us know.

Thank you again for your continued support of the Sensplex.
